ministry on Saturday presented a social welfare system reform
project. In the future, social benefits will be determined in line

According to the World Bank, more than 400,000 Croatian citizens,
or 10 percent, live below the poverty line, earning less than 15,474
kuna (EUR2,063) per year, but only half used some form of social
welfare in 2002.
The reform project should be carried out over the next three years.
In the future, people entitled to some form of assistance will get
vouchers.
