Simonic spoke at a Roma conference taking place in the Hungarian
capital on Tuesday and Wednesday. Its goal is to provide a solution
to the Roma issue in Central and Eastern Europe.
The poverty of the Roma, the biggest and fastest growing European
minority, is one of the biggest problems faced by countries in
transition which they have to resolve while drawing closer to the
European Union.
