He spoke to the press at Zagreb's Pleso airport upon returning from
Romania, where he headed a parliamentary delegation on a two-day
trip, the first between the two countries on the most senior
parliamentary level.
"In view of achieving their foreign policy integration goals, both
Croatia and Romania care very much about the entire region being
peaceful and stable, and we believe that through strategic
partnership we can considerably contribute to the democratic and
economic progress of the whole region."
During the visit, the Croatian delegation met with the presidents
of both houses of the Romanian parliament, the foreign minister,
and President Ion Iliescu.
