THREE WAR CRIMES SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY IN SISAK

SISAK SISAK, July 1 (Hina) - The investigating judge of the Sisak County Court on Tuesday issued an order for three former Croatian Army soldiers to be remanded in custody for 48 hours on suspicion of committing a war crime against civilians in 1991. The three men, who have unofficially been identified as Sinisa Mazuran, Vlado Josic and Vlado Buzuk, were arrested on Monday on the suspicion that they had taken Dusan Komosar from his apartment in Sisak in October 1991. Komosar's whereabouts have been unknown ever since. Judge Ivica Plese, who did not reveal the full identity of the suspects, told reporters on Tuesday that the Office of the County Prosecutor should file a request for investigation within 48 hours, or the suspects would be released. The deadline expires at 1230 hours on Wednesday. Mazuran, Josic and Buzuk refused to make any comments.(hina) vm sb
