ZAGREB, July 1 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Tuesday received the outgoing head of the UN liaison office in Croatia, Mandhyan Kishore, and Swiss Ambassador to Croatia Paul Widmer, Mesic's office said in a
statement.

Speaking about the time he spent in Croatia and his mission,
Mandhyan said Croatia had made significant progress. He said peace
missions were the most important activities of the UN at the
beginning of the 21st century.
Swiss Ambassador Widmer thanked Mesic on the openness he showed in
relations with foreign representatives in Croatia.
