WASHINGTON, June 27 (Hina) - The newly appointed US Ambassador to Croatia, Ralph Frank, will arrive in Zagreb on July 1 to take office, a representative of the public relations office in the US State Department said on Friday.

Croatia, Ralph Frank, will arrive in Zagreb on July 1 to take
office, a representative of the public relations office in the US

Frank has been a career diplomat of the State Department since 1975
and has been the US an ambassador in Nepal, and a diplomat in the US
embassies in Warsaw and Belgrade.
His last post was the director of the office for development and
appointments in the personnel section of the State Department.
Prior to that he was the executive director in the office for the
Near East and Southeast Asian affairs and the deputy the assistant
state secretary in the office for diplomatic security.
Ambassador Frank, born in Washington State, is married to Susan
Gundersen and has two children.
The outgoing US Ambassador to Zagreb, Lawrence G. Rossin, who was in
that post since 2001, departed from the Croatian capital on Friday.
He is returning to the State Department to take up post as the deputy
of the assistant state secretary for Europe and Eurasia, and will be
in charge of Southeast Europe. That section includes Croatia,
Serbia-Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania,
Macedonia and Bulgaria.
