ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - Zagreb police have pressed charges against a former Croatian diplomat, whose identity has not been revealed, due to suspicion that she embezzled 190,000 kuna (EUR25,350) of the Zurich Croatian Consulate
General's money.

The 58-year-old woman, who is at large, has been indicted with abuse
of office and powers.
Zagreb police spokeswoman Stanka Saraja said on Monday an
international arrest warrant was issued for the woman in late May.
The suspect enjoyed the diplomatic status of consul of the first
rank in Zurich since 2000, was in charge of economic and financial
affairs, and entitled to manage the consulate's funds, said
Natalija Bukovec, spokeswoman for the foreign ministry.
