Reacting to Klaric's statements that Glavas had attacked him for
not having supported "the failed coup in Osijek", Seks and Glavas
told reporters in parliament that Klaric had advised them to submit
to him a report on the situation in the Osijek-Baranja County
Assembly and had promised them support.
"He told us that he was fed up with the work he was doing, but that he
wanted to stay active in politics and suggested to us that he was
prepared to take part in the coming elections on the HDZ's side.
When the HDZ did not respond to his offer, he assessed it was more
profitable for him to stick to the ruling coalition," Glavas said.
The member of the strongest opposition party announced he would ask
for Klaric's replacement next time the ombudsman submitted a report
in parliament.
