ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - Ivica Rozic, indicted for planting bombs in
the houses of Serb returnees to the Lika region, killing five, will
be tried in Zagreb instead of Gospic. #L#
The Supreme Court decided Wednesday to transfer the trial to
Zagreb, accepting a motion by Chief State Prosecutor Mladen Bajic,
who requested a change of venue as he had information about threats
made against Gospic prosecutors.
The trial of Rozic, accused of planting 14 bombs from 1996 to 1998,
should have started in early June, but was postponed due to Bajic's
motion.
Rozic was taken into custody in Gospic in early May.
