GOSPIC, June 2 (Hina) - The main hearing in the trial of Ivica Rozic, indicted for 14 counts of planting explosives under the homes of Serb returnees in Lika from 1996 through 1998, did not begin on Monday as scheduled because the
chief state prosecutor asked of the Supreme Court to change the venue to some other county court.
GOSPIC, June 2 (Hina) - The main hearing in the trial of Ivica Rozic,
indicted for 14 counts of planting explosives under the homes of
Serb returnees in Lika from 1996 through 1998, did not begin on
Monday as scheduled because the chief state prosecutor asked of the
Supreme Court to change the venue to some other county court. #L#
Rozic's attorney, Mirko Ruzic, objected to the proposal. Rozic
himself told the trial chamber that deciding to change the venue
would mean belittling the Gospic County Court. He stressed this was
a politically motivated and rigged process.
