Monday Serbia had cooperated with the UN war crimes tribunal at The
Hague and was eligible for the 110 million of U.S. aid #L#.
The Serbian authorities swayed the United States when they arrested
top war crimes suspect Veselin Sljivancanin in the capital last
week.
Congress had set June 15 as the date for the administration to
certify whether or not the authorities in Belgrade were cooperating
with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia
(ICTY), which tries people accused of war crimes in the 1990s Balkan
wars.
