2 NEW ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES SET UP WITHIN CROATIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY

ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Two new administrative departments -- for neighbouring countries and economic diplomacy -- have been set up in the Croatian Foreign Ministry, in accordance with the government's regulation on the internal organisation of the said service. According to the regulation, the foreign affairs service will have a total of 905 employees -- 555 in the foreign ministry and 350 in diplomatic missions. The administrative department for neighbouring countries will deal with Croatia's immediate neighbours as well as Austria and the Vatican. It will have offices for western and eastern countries - the latter will monitor events and problems in bilateral and regional relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia-Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania. The border department will deal with border issues, the return of refugees, reconstruction, etc. The administrative office for economic diplomacy will have 26 employees who will observe the advancement of economic relations with the world andthe work of diplomats in charge of economic affairs.
