The agreement that was signed in Sarajevo by the two states' foreign
ministers on March 5, 2003 came into force on the day of its
signing.
The establishment of a local border regime, that would bring a wide
range of benefits for about 300,000 people just on the Croatian side
in a belt five kilometres wide along the border, is still expected.
It was agreed at today's meeting how the commission would operate.
Also exchanged was information about bodies responsible for the
implementation of the agreement, and a working group was founded
for the local border regime and the issuing of local border
documents.
