BELGRADE/ZAGREB, May 29 (Hina) - A former commander of the Republika Srpska Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Miomir Talic, indicted by the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes
in Bosnia, died from lung cancer at the Belgrade military hospital on Wednesday, Belgrade-based media reported on Thursday.

Republika Srpska Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Miomir
Talic, indicted by the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal for
genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Bosnia, died
from lung cancer at the Belgrade military hospital on Wednesday,
Belgrade-based media reported on Thursday. #L#
The former Bosnian Serb entity's army chief-of-staff was arrested
in Vienna in August 1999 while participating in a conference on
military doctrine, after which he was transferred to The Hague. The
ICTY released him temporarily in September 2002 due to his
condition. He was hospitalised in Belgrade.
