The Croatian government attributed the Tribunal's decision on a
staff cutback to the fact that preparations to end the Tribunal's
mandate were already beginning. The ICTY's mandate should end in
2008.
Sources close to the Croatian government and the Hague tribunal
stated that there was a possibility that the ICTY hands over some
war crimes cases to domestic courts.
