"I hope the agreement will help promote cooperation between the two
ministries as well as between Croatia and Slovakia," said Minister
Lucin after the document was signed in Zagreb.
The treaty defines assistance which the two countries will offer to
each other in crisis situations, he added.
Lucin and his Slovakian guest also discussed other issues such as
the struggle against organised crime and the coming tourist
season.
"Cooperation between Croatia and Slovakia in bids to counter
organised crime is important also because of the fact that one of
the routes of organised crime is passing through the Balkans
towards the West," the Slovakian minister said.
Lucin and Palko talked about their countries' joining in Euro-
Atlantic integration processes.
