Racan said the ministers who could not abide by the agreement would
be asked to hand over their duties to others.
The government will be more open and responsible towards the public
and the presentation of its achievements will be more co-ordinated.
Independent promotion activities of ministers and ministries will
not be tolerated, Racan said.
He confirmed that Ministers Radimir Cacic and Zeljko Pecek, who
have been singled out by the press lately for such conduct, had
agreed to this as well.
Racan said that the government would set up its own information pool
and that Kresimir Macan, currently Croatian Radio Television's
public relations officer, would be appointed his communications
advisor.
