"Economic relations are progressing well and I hope they will
generate the advancement of political relations," said Tomcic.
He hoped open issues, such as borders and visa requirements, would
be resolved soon.
Future relations between Croatia and Serbia are crucial for the
stability of the region, said the Croat.
Canak said Serbia and Vojvodina were currently working on
amendments to the Constitution, with special emphasis on relations
with neighbours.
"Croatia has an important place in that. Resolving relations and
the visa regime between Croatia and Vojvodina, i.e. Serbia-
Montenegro is vital for Vojvodina's residents," said Canak.
Earlier today Canak was received by President Stjepan Mesic.
