SIBENIK, April 30 (Hina) - Sibenik Municipal Court judge Maja Supe on Wednesday passed a non-final verdict in the trial of Split County Court judge Slavko Lozina imposing on him a sentence of three months in prison and a suspended
sentence of one year for causing a traffic accident due to negligence. On the charge of failure to help a severely injured person, the judge acquitted the defendant.
SIBENIK, April 30 (Hina) - Sibenik Municipal Court judge Maja Supe
on Wednesday passed a non-final verdict in the trial of Split County
Court judge Slavko Lozina imposing on him a sentence of three months
in prison and a suspended sentence of one year for causing a traffic
accident due to negligence. On the charge of failure to help a
severely injured person, the judge acquitted the defendant. #L#
Lozina told reporters the trial was a rigged political process the
purpose of which was to discredit him as a judge and cause his
suspension.
Lozina is known to the wider public as the judge who acquitted eight
former military policemen in the "Lora" war crimes trial.
