BOSNIAN CROAT PARTY SUPPORTED BY CHINA'S COMMUNISTS, SERB PARTY

MOSTAR, Apr 26 (Hina) - China's Communist Party (CCP) attaches great importance to cooperation with Bosnia's Croatian Democratic Union party (HDZ BH) and wants to actively continue it, Zi Yang, representing the CCP Central Committee at a HDZ BH assembly in Mostar, said on Saturday. #L# Zi said the CCP appreciated the HDZ BH as one of the most important parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina. "The HDZ is making its contribution to reconciliation in BH." Mirko Sarovic, a representative of the Serb Democratic Party and until recently chairman of Bosnia's collective state presidency, said his attendance of the Mostar assembly was his party's symbolic invitation to HDZ BH to cooperation. "Our parties are different, but we share the caring for our country and our peoples," said Sarovic, adding both parties' leaderships were faced with taking Bosnia into Europe. Volker Schimfl, a delegate of Germany's Christian Democratic Union, stressed the importance of respecting democratic tenets in Bosnia and the will of constituents as is the case in Western countries.
