After a meeting with his Slovene counterpart Dimitrij Rupel, Picula
said this was a result of everything Croatia had been accepting as a
commitment, not only on the international plan, but also in
internal policy.
"We now have to take this even more seriously ... I believe in the
overall reform capacity of the Croatian society. Now we truly have a
clear goal ahead of us," said Picula and added that today's decision
made in Luxembourg made the EU less of a political subject for
Croatian politics and citizens.
"This is now truly something being imposed as an everyday
obligation," Picula said.
"I believe in the maturity political parties have shown. The
European Union is not a one-off subject, but a subject which will
mark the political work and life in Croatia in coming years," said
Picula.
