Tuesday toured a 30-km section of the Zagreb-Split highway. The
section should be opened on June 30, 2004. #L#
Racan told reporters that the construction works were carried out
according to plan.
The highway is not only a big construction project, it is
exceptionally important also because it connects the entire
Croatia in terms of economy, culture and tourism, Racan said,
adding the project realised the dream of many generations of
Croatians who had tried to build a highway from Zagreb to Split
several times in the past.
