ZAGREB, April 8 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Tuesday

them in his recent statement. #L#
In its press release, the government says "the crime at Ovcara is
just a part of all the crimes committed by members of the JNA (former
Yugoslav People's Army) and Serbian paramilitary troops, and so
many will have to answer for crimes committed in Vukovar, including
Veselin Sljivancanin".
Serbian Interior Minister Dusan Mihajlovic has earlier said that
the ongoing investigation has given indications about "real
perpetrators", who were nabbed and who are expected to be processed
in Serbia.
Mihajlovic said the new evidence could expedite efforts aimed at
bringing Sljivancanin before the ICTY and prove his innocence with
the assistance of the Serbian government.
Sources from Serbia say that the arrested group, suspected of
liquidating prisoners of war at Ovcara, was connected with
paramilitaries who were active in the Vukovar area during the war.
