market research, the Croatian electorate is for the most part still

The poll was conducted in March on a sample of 1,000 citizens, the
GfK reported.
Somewhat less than a quarter of citizens, 23%, who said they would
give their vote to certain parties, named the Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ), the Croatian People's Party (HNS), the Croatian
Peasant Party (HSS) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
As far as individuals are concerned, among almost forty suggested,
only five received support of more than five percent of those
questioned. These being incumbent President Stjepan Mesic, the
president of the HDZ, Ivo Sanader, Prime Minister Ivica Racan,
parliament president and member of the HSS, Zlatko Tomcic, and
president of the HNS, Vesna Pusic.
As many as 60% of those questioned had no idea for which person to
vote, the GfK reported.
