brought in for questioning three persons suspected of having stolen
valuable paintings from the government building, Interior Ministry

The three are suspected of having stolen from the government
building, in the period between last September and March 30, five
paintings by Menci Clement Crncic, Likan Haueisa Gustav and Ferdo
Kovacevic. The value of the paintings is estimated at 270,000
kuna.
The suspects are a 29-year-old waiter working for the government,
his brother and wife, who according to unofficial sources is
Crncic's grand-granddaughter.
The punishment for this criminal act of grand larceny ranges
between one to eight years' imprisonment.
