doctors' dignity adopted at the convention. #L#
The reporters "strongly protest against and deplore" claims in the
declaration on media lynching of doctors being orchestrated by
somebody, and add that they carried information on a recent strike
of doctors and other developments in the health sector in a
"credible and independent manner", presenting the stands of both
sides.
Responding to the reporters' statement, the president of the
convention's organising committee, Ivica Babic, said the
declaration made no mention of reporters, especially not those
following medicine and the health sector.
The declaration addresses the media image of striking doctors that
was created in the public and that image was not based only on
objective reports, but also on comments by reporters who do not
follow the health sector, as well as by readers', listeners' and
viewers' reactions, Babic said.
