In talks with members of the Association of Free Zones, he said he
was "deeply dissatisfied" with the non-adoption of a quality law on
free zones. "Bureaucrats are writing laws which cannot be
implemented," he said.
Mesic said he had been saying for 13 years that free zones were the
generator of Croatia's development as they brought in new
technologies, production, capital, and employment.
He also recalled the positive results of numerous free zones
abroad.
