This was the assessment made by the President of the Croatian
Chamber of Commerce (HGK) Nadan Vidosevic at an advisory session
dealing with franchise at the HGK.
Vidosevic stressed that the greatest anxiety was related to the
price of fuel, primarily to the price of oil on the world market.
Nevertheless yesterday's information regarding the fall in the
price of oil to the lowest level recently has eased the fear for the
moment.
Vidosevic believes that the current trend in prices of oil will
continue except if the war were to exceed the expected period of two
months.
In the context of expectations of the brief war, there should not be
any significant negative effects to Croatia's tourism and the
Croatian official expects another good season.
