ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) - The president of the association of
Croatian war veterans treated for the post-traumatic stress
disorder, Tihomir Apari, on Saturday evening questioned the
legitimacy of a convention some war veterans held earlier in the day
in Zagreb. #L#
Apari stressed that the association supported the application of
the American test MMPI-2 for the examination of the mental state of
the veterans, while the participants in the said convention asked
the authorities to immediately stop applying that test.
Apari said the test could help detect the diseases and prevent
suicidal cases.
According to Apari, Saturday's conference was held by former
members of the association, who had been excluded from the
society.
Apari added that the association fully supported Ivica Pancic, the
minister in charge of veterans' affairs, while the participants in
the contentious meeting demanded the minister's replacement.
