BELGRADE, March 21 (Hina) - The chief Hague prosecutor, Carla Del
Ponte, arrived in Belgrade on Friday to participate in a two-day
seminar on Serbia and Montenegro and the U.N. war crimes tribunal.

The seminar has been organised by NATO and the Serbia and Montenegro
parliament.
Del Ponte's chief interlocutor in a debate should be Serbian Police
Minister Dusan Mihajlovic.
Participation in the seminar is the sole reason of Del Ponte's trip
to Belgrade, and meetings with representatives of authorities
should not be expected, her spokeswoman Florence Hartmann told
Radio B92.
Del Ponte's office declined to comment on the chief prosecutor's
earlier announcement that she would go to the grave of Serbian Prime
Minister Zoran Djindjic, assassinated last week.
It was confirmed, however, that regardless of speculation that the
assassination was in part related to pressure from The Hague, the
prosecution would not reduce the number of demands from Serbia and
Montenegro as cooperation with the tribunal was an international
obligation the country had.
Del Ponte had expressed a wish to attend Djindjic's funeral last
Wednesday but was talked out of it by Serbia and Montenegro Foreign
Minister Goran Svilanovic who, according to her, said her
attendance would be "inappropriate".
