Director's Office of the company, Marko Loncar, told a press
conference on Wednesday. #L#
He made these statements after the Office of the High
Representative (OHR) in Sarajevo and Mostar reported on the dire
financial state and criminal activities in that company.
Loncar admitted that there had been some irregularities in the
business operations of the company but he did not agree with the
OHR's audit report.
Loncar admitted that during a transitional period, the company, as
he said, financed certain institutions in Herceg Bosna but he
denied allegations that the company had financially assisted in
attempts to set up that the Bosnian Croat self-rule years ago.
Responding to questions by reporters, Loncar said the company did
not serve as a bank for the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) in
Bosnia and no donations were made to that party but that the company
had helped some important institutions like the Mostar University,
Croatian Radio Herceg Bosna, Habena (former news agency) and an
institute for education.
