The Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development should play a
huge role in this aspect as well as other development agencies, he
said. It is also important to create an institutional
infrastructure, said Vidosevic and praised Premier Racan's
government because it opened Croatia to the world. Vidosevic backed
his theory with numerous examples of free trade agreements that had
been signed.
Vidosevic stressed the significance of transport, power and
utilities' infrastructures. He warned, however, about the
significance of the ecological aspect of the oil pipeline to be
constructed by Druzba Adria.
"Finally, it will depend on us when we will be accepted to the
European Union," the president of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce
emphasised.
