Mr. Seselj has arrived at the Scheveningen prison, spokesman
Christian Chartier told Hina. He added that the date when Seselj
would make his initial appearance before the tribunal and enter his
plea had not been set yet. The date would be determined in the next
several days, he added.
The 48-year-old Radical, who was re-elected leader of the
opposition's Radical Party last Saturday, is accused of ethnic
cleansing and other crimes committed against non-Serbs in Croatia,
Bosnia-Herzegovina and Vojvodina. The indictment was made known on
February 14.
On the evening before Seselj's departure for The Hague, around
10,000 supporters organised a farewell rally in Belgrade's central
square, singing nationalist songs in honour of their leader, who
holds the title of the Chetnik duke.
