VUKOVAR: INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST FORMER JNA OFFICERS VUKOVAR, Feb 21 (Hina) - The Vukovar County Prosecution on Friday issued an indictment against ten representatives of the civil authorities of Croatian Serb rebels and
high-ranking officers of the former Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) for crimes committed against humanity and international law during the Serb aggression and occupation of Vukovar.
VUKOVAR, Feb 21 (Hina) - The Vukovar County Prosecution on Friday
issued an indictment against ten representatives of the civil
authorities of Croatian Serb rebels and high-ranking officers of
the former Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) for crimes committed
against humanity and international law during the Serb aggression
and occupation of Vukovar. #L#
The Croatian public will be informed about the details of the
indictment at a news conference called for Monday by Vukovar-Srijem
County prosecutor Bozidar Piljic.
Piljic told Hina that the list of indictees, charged with war crimes
against civilians, POWs and the wounded and sick, and with the
destruction of cultural and historical monuments, included JNA
officers Veljko Kadijevic, Blagoje Adzic, Zvonko Jurjevic, Bozidar
Stevanovic, Zivota Panic, Mile Mrksic, Veselin Sljivancanin and
Miroslav Radic, as well as Vojislav Seselj and Goran Hadzic.
The 80-page indictment describes tragic events from the beginning
of the Serb aggression on the eastern Croatian town until Croatian
civilians, soldiers and other non-Serbs were taken to Serb
concentration camps.
