"We voice regret about this statement and hope that there will be no
such statements in the future," said Rop, who is currently in
Brussels.
Rop described Chirac'a statement as "unusual" and a consequence of
"exhausting negotiations" which European countries had conducted
in the past several days concerning Iraq.
"It is firstly important that such statement will not be possible in
the future because we shall be an equal country in the EU," Rop told
the POP-TV television.
