Yesterday Mesic held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to local sources, Putin invited the Croat to consider
simplifying the visa granting procedure for Russian tourists
vacationing in Croatia.
Speaking about bilateral relations, Putin said economic ties
between the two countries were making positive headway. Russian-
Croatian trade is approaching US$1 billion, he said.
