ROME, Feb 13 (Hina) - The under-secretary of the Italian Ministry for Agriculture and Forestry, Paolo Scarpa Bonazza Buora, suggested in today's issue of the "Il Piccolo" Italian daily that a joint Croatian-Italian fishing control in
the Adriatic to prevent incidents be established.
ROME, Feb 13 (Hina) - The under-secretary of the Italian Ministry
for Agriculture and Forestry, Paolo Scarpa Bonazza Buora,
suggested in today's issue of the "Il Piccolo" Italian daily that a
joint Croatian-Italian fishing control in the Adriatic to prevent
incidents be established. #L#
The joint control of fishing boats should contribute to preventing
incidents which occur when an Italian fishing boat enters Croatian
territorial waters. If such an arrangement meets agreement, the
model could set an example for other agreements in the
Mediterranean, Scarpa told the daily.
He expressed wish of the Italian side that it closely cooperate with
the Croatian government to harmonise laws in the area of fishing.
