with 71 votes pro, two con and 20 abstained. According to the law, until new officials of the national television are elected, the current director will remain in his seat, editors-in-chief of the radio and television will be acting programme directors, and current editors of the news programme will be acting editors-in-chief. This solution is the result of the adoption of some amendments moved by the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), which, during a parliamentary discussion and at additional consultations, asked that the present editorial staff in HRT remain in office until new leaders are elected pursuant to the new law.
