Croatian Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac told reporters that the
countries had agreed to cooperate in tax and customs policies and
the suppression of money laundering, smuggling, organised crime,
etc.
At their second meeting the ministers also agreed on a project of
technical assistance to countries which are preparing to introduce
a value added tax system.
They also agreed to, in accordance with their authority, help
business and financial cooperation of companies interested not
only in trade, but also joint investments, production, etc.
The first results of this cooperation can be expected in September,
when the third finance ministers' meeting is to take place in
Skopje, said Crkvenac. Finance ministers of central Europe should
join this meeting.
