Zagreb Municipal Court judge Zorislav Kaleb decided on Tuesday to send a request to the Serbian judicial authorities to question Jocic, who is in custody in Belgrade while standing trial on charges of having contracted the murder of the Croatian Nacional weekly's newspaper co-owner Ivo Pukanic.
Thus, the judge sustained the motion made by Petricic with a strong disapproval from Mesic's lawyer Cedo Prodanovic.
Petar Grljac, a former prisoner in the Turopolje penitentiary, today testified about having heard inmates of Albanian descent saying that Kosovo Albanians had assisted Mesic and were very happy with his election victory.
He said that he had not heard anything about connections between the former president and the Albanian mafia.
