SARAJEVO/BANJA LUKA, Jan 25 (Hina) - The Yugoslav aggression caused damage in Croatia currently estimated at EUR15 billion and this has to be compensated, Croatian President Stjepan Mesic has said. #L# In an interview with the Banja Luka-based Nezavisne Novine of Saturday, Mesic said Croatia had undoubtedly been the victim of Yugoslav, i.e. Serbian aggression. "How the damage will be paid and in what time limit is a matter for inter-state agreements. That we were victims -- that is clear, because if our citizens imprisoned in Vukovar and other towns went to camps in Serbia, Serbia cannot say it had nothing to do with that war". Asked about the amount of damages Croatia would claim from Yugoslavia, he said he thought it was "about some 30 billion (German) marks". Mesic also announced he intended to run for another term of office. "There is a big chance that I will run for president because I think I have done my job well, that I have created a new image for Croatia, opened cooperation with states in Europe and outside Europe."
