ZAGREB, Jan 14 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Tuesday met Lithuanian Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis, with whom he discussed integration into Euro-Atlantic processes and bilateral cooperation, the President's Office
said in a statement.

Bearing in mind similar historical experience, the current
transition processes and common European goals, President Mesic
and Minister Valionis stressed the importance of mutual
cooperation and exchange of experience with the aim of full
integration into Euro-Atlantic processes, notes the statement.
President Mesic said that the application of European standards
regarding the protection of minorities was particularly important
for both countries, as were laws stimulating foreign investments.
Valionis stressed the great importance of cooperation between the
two countries, the statement noted.
