"We will give the Croatian government the list of shareholders so
that it could establish if there is anything contentious about it.
Of the 1,500 shareholders, one is a legal person from Croatia (a
company), and there is a number of foreign physical persons,"
Mokrovic said.
The biggest shareholder is the Ljubljana-based company DSZ and
other big shareholders are two state funds and the investment
society Maksima. According to some information, 79% of Maksima
shares are owned by Nova Ljubljanska Bank.
Mokrovic said that in case it successfully wrapped up talks on the
take over of Suncani Hvar, Terme Catez would invest 50-70 million
euros in the hotel chain and seek a concession for the construction
of two marinas on the island of Hvar.
Commenting on the latest events regarding the sale of Suncani Hvar
to the Slovene company, the Slovene press reported about opposition
among political parties and authorities in Hvar to what they called
"the sale of national resources".
