Deputies of the HDZ, the Party of Democratic Action and the Party
for Bosnia-Herzegovina also elected Sahbaz Dzihanovic and Desnica
Radivojevic Lozancic's Muslim and Serb deputies respectively.
Although the decision of the House of Representatives becomes final
only after it is confirmed by the House of Peoples, the election of
the new leaders is a done deal because even if the upper houses does
not confirm their election, they will take up office because the
lower house has the final say.
Lozancic, Dzihanovic and Radivojevic have a four-year term of
office. According to the constitutional amendments adopted last
year, the officials will no longer rotate at the presidential post
as was the case earlier.
