Slovenia", which is led by former Slovene Premier Andrej Bajuk,
believes that negotiations which the incumbent government is
holding with Croatia are unsuccessful. #L#
"The negotiations on the most difficult issues such as the Krsko
nuclear power plant, the Ljubljanska Bank's debt and the border
have been unsuccessful and bring into question good neighbourly
relations," read a statement released after the session of the
party's leadership.
Bajuk's Democrat Christians, who cooperate with the other
opposition party, Social Democrats (SDS) led by Janez Jansa, warn
that unsolved issues "stimulate a hostile atmosphere and
intolerance and render economic cooperation more difficult."
Bajuk's party proposes to the Antun Rop cabinet to purchase the
Croatian stock (50 percent of shares) in the Krsko plant and in this
job one should take into account the fact that the plant is on
Slovene soil and it burdens one co-owner in the ecological sense.
