Croatian skier, Janica Kostelic, won a women's World Cup slalom race in the Italian resort of Bormio on Sunday, celebrating her 21st birthday in the best possible way. Janica's time was one minute 36.74 seconds (both slalom legs). Austria's Elisabeth Goergl was second in 1:38.82 and Anja Paerson of Sweden finished third in 1:38.90. This is Kostelic's fifth victory in this year's World Cup and the 18th in her entire career. After the slalom race in Bormio, Janica remains the first in the World Cup Alpine skiing standings with 1,055 points.
