The responsibility for today's drop in the number of patients'
visits to hospitals lies with the Croatian Doctors' Union which
urged them not to come, said the minister.
He accused the chairman of the union's strike committee, Ivica
Babic, of attempting a "health coup".
"... Babic is also personally responsible for the coup he attempted
in the health sector, i.e. in case somebody dies because of not
receiving adequate health care."
Citizens have been calling a Health Ministry hotline all the time
and more than 100 complaints have been made, said the minister,
announcing that all major breaches of patients' rights would be
prosecuted.
