SFOR officer Robert Alvarez confirmed the three men were American soldiers. Two empty clips and two Beretta pistols from which the shots were fired were found in their vehicle. Mirsad Cavar, the owner of the Renault 19 that was damaged, told Sarajevo canton police and the SFOR the U.S. soldiers fired several shots and then banged on his car, which was parked by a road, with wood poles.
