TORINO, Jan 19 (Hina) - Croatian writer Miljenko Jergovic has won the prestigious literary award "Premio Grinzane Cavour" for his book of stories "Mama Leone". Jergovic's publisher in Zagreb, "Durieux", reported that Jergovic's book
had been selected the best foreign book translated in Italy in 2002. The book was nominated by the author's Italian publisher "Libri Scheiwiller". Predrag Matvejevic, a member of the jury, said the jury's decision was unanimous, which is not very common. Jergovic will be handed the award at a ceremony at the Torino Book Fair on June 21.(hina) rml
