CROATIA'S LANDMARK MEDIEVAL BOOK TRANSLATED INTO NORWEGIAN

ZAGREB/OSLO, Jan 8 (Hina) - "Dundo Maroje", Croatian writer Marin Drzic's best known comedy, has been translated into Norwegian. Drzic's main character, Pomet, has spoken in Scandinavian more than four and a half centuries after first appearing on the scene.

Drzic's main character, Pomet, has spoken in Scandinavian more than four and a half centuries after first appearing on the scene. #L# Svein Moenesland, a university professor in Slavic studies in Oslo, is most responsible for the book appearing in Norwegian book shops. Professor Moenesland was assisted by former student Siri Teige. They worked on the venture for the past two years. The Norwegian version of "Dundo Maroje" was presented in mid- December at the Kloden international cultural centre in Oslo under the auspices of the Norwegian-Croatian Association and in co- operation with the Croatian Embassy in Oslo.
